Only at the Traverse City Film Festival can you experience movies sitting right smack dab out in the middle of the Bay. Watch stars on the screen under stars in the sky! We’re partnering with our friends at the Nauti-Cat to offer a special opportunity for film lovers with sea legs.
Set sail into the sunset to enjoy a great film in a simply unparalleled setting. We’ll head out on the largest sailing catamaran on the Great Lakes each night with a projector, screen, and popcorn in tow. Behold the Bay’s stunning vistas, and enjoy an outstanding film — an evening that truly encompasses the best of all that Traverse City offers. If you keep a bucket list, this should be on it!
These unique filmgoing excursions depart at 9:45 pm every night from the gas dock in Clinch Marina. Ticket holders should plan to arrive at the gas dock at least 30 minutes before scheduled departure. Movies begin at dusk (approximately 10 pm).
Drinks are available for purchase — the Nauti-Cat offers an exciting variety of libations including their world-famous specialty drink—Cat-Nip!
Refunds will be issued in the event of inclement weather. Remember to bring a blanket, a sweater, or other warm clothing, and be prepared for a swashbuckling moviegoing experience.
Tickets are $25, available online and in the main festival box office on the first day of public ticketing, Saturday, July 18.
