The Traverse City Film Festival is made possible entirely by YOU, our dedicated volunteer army! If you sign up now you will be the first to hear about our available shifts!
Great volunteers make the Traverse City Film Festival possible. As a volunteer-based, charitable non-profit organization, we depend on the generosity of our volunteers, who run all areas of the festival. We hope you’ll join our team of hard-working, fun-loving, problem-solving movie lovers dedicated to helping festival patrons and guests have the best filmgoing experience possible. Leadership roles are also available. For more information on becoming a volunteer manager click here.

Step 1 (contact information) and Step 2 (about you) are required. If you would like to also volunteer at the State Theatre, please mark the “Year-Round State Volunteer” box. Step 3 allows you to submit comments if you wish.
We look carefully at each form, so please complete as much of Steps 1-2 as possible. Knowing about your background, interests, and availability will help us find the best place for you within the festival organization.
If you are interested in a leadership or skilled position with the festival, be sure to complete the “Leadership Roles Available” section at the end of Step 2.
Please read the Volunteer Handbook carefully. For questions about what to wear, please see our Volunteer Dress Code. Refer to Form Help if you have problems with the volunteer system. Thank you for your interest in volunteering.
